Weare’s Historical Society celebrated the 250th Anniversary of the Pine Tree Riot this weekend [in Weare, NH]. We had a great crowd and, unbelievably, the weather cooperated. The Pine Tree Riot happened here in Weare and was one of the earliest acts of resistance to the Crown in pre-Revolutionary New England, predating the Boston Tea Party by 18 months…
We even put on a play about this historic event in our old Town Hall…amazingly great day.
